Divide the wattage of your light by 1000, then multiply it by the number of hours a day the light will be used. Then multipy that number by the cost of energy per kiliwatt. Multiply that number by the number of days the light will be used. Now multiply that number by thenumber of lights with the same wattage and you will get the cost to opperate those lights per year. Now take the amount you will save each year and divide it by 12. Now figure out how much the taxes, labor, shipping and any other cost related to the upgrade and divide that number by the amount saved that was divided by12. The remaining number will be the number of months it will take to pay back the total out of pocket cost or ROI.
